Flow-through % = (actual profit - comparison profit) / (actual revenue - comparison revenue). When revenue is up, a higher figure is better; many operators compare it with the comparison period's margin. When revenue is down, a lower figure is better, since it means less of the lost revenue came out of profit. Your company's target may differ; use the one your owner or management company sets.
